NEET exam uproar in the Parliament

New exam dates for UGC-NET

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced new dates for the UGC-NET and two other examinations, following their cancellation and postponement due to alleged irregularities. The UGC-NET, initially cancelled due to a question paper leak, will now take place from August 21 to September 4 in its original computer-based format. The CSIR UGC-NET will be held from July 25 to 27, and the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) is rescheduled for July 10.

Security tightened for Amarnath Yatra begins today

The 52-day Amarnath Yatra begins today with heightened security measures following a recent militant attack. The first batch of 4,603 pilgrims was flagged off by J&K Lieutenant-Governor Manoj Sinha. The pilgrimage will proceed from base camps in Pahalgam and Sonmarg, with multiple security rings and special Quick Reaction Teams in place to ensure safety.
