How Should I prepare for the CUET UG law exam?

Students who wish to appear for the CUET UG law exam have to take their domain-specific exam as Legal Studies. Just to briefly give the overview of the exam format, the CUET exam is conducted in three sections wherein the first section is a language exam consisting of 50 questions, the second section is of domain-specific exam, consisting of 40 questions, and the third and final section is general aptitude section containing 60 questions.

Section One of the CUET Exam

So, firstly about the Language exam, you have the option of multiple languages to pick one or two. A maximum of two languages can be picked by students for examination. It is advisable that students having the strongest grip on a particular language should pick that language for the purposes of examination. This is because taking fancy language will not be of any help rather it may decrease your marks if not fully prepared. Moreover, the Language exam will be tested through Reading Comprehension. Such passages could be factual, narrative, literary, etc. Thus, the focus should be more on increasing the speed of reading and developing comprehension skills. The ideal approach would be to read online articles and newspapers on a daily basis as it will also help you with current affairs.

For that, it is expected that a student should get their fundamentals clear and be able to comprehend legal principles for topics of law. Learning all the legal maxims with understanding their meaning could be a game changer.

Section Three of the CUET Exam

The third section deals with General test that consists of topics like General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, and Logical and Analytical Reasoning. The best way to take command over this section is firstly, to understand the concept to solve the question, and secondly, to practice as many questions as you can from different books, papers, etc. Under this section, there could be multiple questions formed, and although the foundational concept would be the same in its application the tricky part is how to apply the concept. Hence, practicing different varieties of questions will help a student gauge how to prepare and attempt such questions.
